Nice! Congrats on checking that off your list.

Any stats?

56 miles. 14.4 MPH average counting the time it took to fix a flat rear tire. One wrong turn resulting in a steep long hill. Made it to work with a few minutes to spare.

Congrats on the ride! Did you feel the effects of the ride at work, or make it through no different than any other day?

Exhausted. After morning checks it felt really good to lie down. We went to a fire so I got busy, when we got back I fueled the copter and laid back down. For three hours. Another call then more lying down.
Partly effort and partly just waking up so early, and of course kept waking up the nigh before thinking it was time to go. Jim really knew what he was doing with the bike, as it was shaped perfect for me and no real sore spots. I can feel it in my thighs though a little. I'm anxious to try again, and get in under 3 hours.
Rob---are you in for a Tioga Pass adventure this fall? We'll get in tough with our inner hairy man.

With a bit of training and advance planning, I think I can join an "inner hairy man" ride. Bethany will be upset about not being invited, but I think if we add "stinky" to the adjectives associated with the ride she will understand!

I will need to do some planning around my customers to be sure. I am tentatively scheduled to do some traveling again starting in September.

Have bike, will ride. What's the date for Tioga?

Scary to think Shoo has an 'Inner Hairy Man', too. Fall sometime? I guess we better get busy picking dates and logistics.

I'm pretty sure shoos "hairy man" is not inside...
