The fleet

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Copter 2 arrived today. Some of the fellas flew it back from Tennessee. It's pretty much the same as Copter 1. Very different sound with the rigid four rotor system. Now we have to bolt all the crap to it, and figure out how to use it for rescues. One of the copters and one of the crews will be going down to Brown Field (inland, less than a mile from Mexico) At least now we can always have one flying
Cool! Any word on which one will go where yet?
Good question---immediately after the media event on Spetmeber 3, Copter 2 will go to Station 43 (Brown Field) with all the new folks. We will be back to semi-status quo at Montgomery. Pros---we will be first up for rescues. Cons--still living in trailers while the other guys are in an actual station.
Pretty.
With the rigid rotor system, is it rated for aerobatic flight?
The crappy single engined-2 blade hueys I got to abuse couldn't do a lot of the really scary stuff.
NEVER! We would never do aerobatic maneuvers with the public's very valuable resource as that would be unprofessional and ethically just wrong. We would never spiral in low over the fire chief's house at 2:00 A.M., for instance. We would never even THINK of reverse hammerheads before a baseball game in Petco Park. Don't you remember I was the one that would always refuse to do chinese fire drills? Lessee....Byron and Rob and Annamarie have all flown in the copter. I bet they'll back me up that it's 100% flat flying.
Oh and Scott C. also. Who else?
