The Lauren Trap

........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

I took time out from building to dig a Lauren Trap. I dug one about 7 years ago, same size--even though Lauren was much, much smaller back then.
The last one took three days. Dunno if it's softer soil, recent rains, better shovel, or what---but this one was done in about 7 hours. I even got some concrete poured the same day.
Wasn't long before I captured a Lauren. She's a beauty, too. Now AnnaMarie says I have to fill the hole back up since we don't need any more Laurens. I'll stick my telephone pole I got for my birthday in the hole to mark where it was.

Y'know - that would be a good Connor trap, as well.

We already have a Connor attempting to burrow in our yard...

I hope you put up a plaque to mark where you captured your Lauren. I think it would make a good tourist attraction for the Lake Cuyamaca area!

How 'bout a 25 foot wooden obelisk? It's pressure treated and guaranteed for 60 years. (I'll have to replace it when I'm 105) Unfortunately it will be a private tourist attraction as I'm putting a house right in front of it.

You just have to say that UFO's planted it.

Funny we had a Kaleigh trap in our backyard shortly before our patio cover went in! We actually caught a Kaleigh and bonus, we caught a Cole too!
