Just wondering.....

Is it right that the other reindeer LOVED Rudolph just because of something he did for them? Who is round John virgin, and why was he in the manger? What the hell am I supposed to do with eight lords-a-leaping?

Okay - they might be a little weird, but at least they're classics.

Our choir director at church likes to subject us to new stuff. Today it seemed like whoever wrote the song really had no idea how to write lyrics. The tune was nice enough, but the metaphors were all sloppy. You shouldn't grimace when you sing hymns.

And someday I'm going to have to go in and spellcheck the whole computer file for hymns. Comign, paece, and who knows what else. There is no song free of a misspelled word. Drives me nuts.

I'm good with standard carols. At least I know the lyrics even if they're misspelled :)

In the so-lame-it-becomes-endearing department, the organist for Saturday evening mass has complete latitude to choose the songs. She's about 150 years old, pickes songs nobody knows, then can't play the music on the organ. It has become funny for the congregation and baffling for visitors, that usually form a majority. We sort of read along and try to match the note with whatever random key she hits on the organ. It's all for her sake, but in a weird way it builds community.

The way I remember it- you get 8 on the 8th day yes, but also again on the 9th day too! Is it the same set or in addition?

By the time the song is done you might have 40 of these leapers hanging out with the prancers and going through the fridge! Not to mention a whole mess of other cr@p laying about. You better get to building that other house.

Is this the old way to impress ones true love?

If you can get 'em to stop leaping and also forget that they're lords, you could put 'em to work on your house

Ok, so on the radio a woman was talking about how things have gone up in price and her comparison from last year was the cost of getting all of the song, "The Twelve days of Christmas". I was trying to figure out, do you rent Maids milking or do they become permenent staff? BTW the cost these days of getting everything in the song is apparently $89,000.00. I would like to see someone separate all of the things and give them their own price...any takers?
